Every day, more Americans choose to forgo their automobiles and ride their bicycles to work. People ride to work for many reasons: for exercise, to save money, to help the environment or to see their communities in a whole new light. Biking to work is one of the fastest-growing trends in the country!

Events List:

Sat, June 6th

9:30 a.m., Milwaukee Major Taylor Cycling Club
30-40 mile ride on low-traffic urban streets and trails.
Meet at Amaranth Bakery, 3329 W Lisbon Ave

10 a.m., Social Bike Ride
Ride the Menomonee River Parkway and Hank Aaron
State Trail. Meet at Amaranth Bakery, 3329 W Lisbon Ave

Sun, June 7th

7 - 8:15 a.m., Miller Lite Ride for the Arts
Meet up with Team Bike Fed next to the Alterra Coffee booth
15 minutes prior to the start of each wave.

Mon, June 8th

7 - 10 a.m., Morning Commuter Station
Coffee, bakery and & bike repair. Ziedler Park, 301 W. Michigan St.

8 a.m. Rollin' to Work with Mayor Barrett
Bike to Zielder Park with Mayor Barrett. Meet at 51st & Washington Blvd

8:30 a.m., Press Conference
Celebrating Bike to Work Week at Ziedler Park, 301 W. Michigan St.

5 - 6:30 p.m., Bicycle Friendly Business Happy Hour
Socialize with fellow bikers and bicycle-friendly employers
over drinks & appetizers at The Abbey, 134 E. Juneau Ave.

8:30 p.m., Bike Trivia Night
Test your knowledge with rounds of bike-themed trivia
at the Nomad, 1401 E. Brady St.

Wed, June 10th

Bike to the Brewers Game
Bikes, beer, brats & baseball! 5:30pm meet-up at one of the following locations to ride to the stadium and tailgate before the game together: Alterra Foundry or Washington Park Urban Ecology Center.

Fri, June 12th

8 p.m., Bike-in Movie
Join us in celebrating the end of Bike to Work Week by kicking-off the summer's Bike-In Movie Series with the screening of Medicine for Melancholy.

11 p.m., After Party
Dancing, music, bikes. Nomad, 1401 E. Brady St.

Volunteer during Milwaukee's Bike to Work Week!

There are many ways to get involved in Bike to Work Week this year from chalking stencils on area bike paths to hanging up posters promoting the events, to volunteering the week of in the morning over coffee and bakery and helping during the week's events. We even need help after all the fun is over, so please look over the list below and let us know if you're able to help out!
